Anxiety

Everyone gets nervous or anxious from time to time—when speaking in public, for instance, or when going through financial difficulty. For some people however, anxiety becomes so frequent or so forceful that it begins to take over their lives.  How can you tell if your everyday anxiety has crossed the line into a disorder? It’s not easy. Anxiety comes in many different forms—such as panic attacks, phobia, and social anxiety. Symptoms may be physical and/or emotional.

Emotional symptoms may include feelings of apprehension or dread, irritability, restlessness, trouble concentrating and feeling tense or jumpy.

Physical symptoms a person may experience are pounding heart, sweating, tremors and twitches, muscle tension, headaches, fatigue or insomnia.

Neurofeedback:

Brain wave patterns show a fast, usually high voltage pattern in the frontal lobe, especially on the right side. This pattern will be detected in a comprehensive brain wave evaluation. Neurofeedback to inhibit this fast pattern eliminates symptoms of anxiety.
